History
Glow-worm is a foundation of the UK energy industry, having originally begun producing boilers back in 1934 at the Derwent Foundry in Derbyshire.
For the past 80 years, our entire drive has been focused on offering you, our customers, reliable and highly efficient products. It’s this drive that has led us right to the top as one of the leading heating manufacturers in the UK.

We pride ourselves in offering exceptional and durable energy solutions, manufacturing all our boilers at our state of the art production facilities in Belper, Derbyshire. Our revered range of products includes domestic gas boilers, such as combi, system and heat only options.
The Vaillant Group Boiler Deals
In 2001 Glow-worm was acquired by the Vaillant Group, Europe’s second-largest heating company. The Glow-worm brand itself is a British manufactured boiler, part of the Vaillant group manufactured in Derby and has been for the past 86 years we were the first manufacturer to take a domestic boiler from the floor and put it on the wall with the Space Saver, we were the first to introduce condensing boilers to the market and we were the first company offering 15 years parts and labour warranty to our boilers, we sell 70k plus boilers per year into the domestic boiler market and have the service and support via Vaillant of 250 Group service Engineers offering next day call out and direct lines to our Club Energy customers for both Technical and group service.
