Heating and cooling from one discrete system
Most air conditioning needs an outdoor condenser bolted to your wall, with pipework and trunking on show. The Panasonic RAC Solo does away with all of that. The whole system sits indoors and exchanges air through two small, self-closing grilles on your external wall. That makes it a strong fit for properties where an outdoor unit is not practical, not wanted, or not allowed.
No outdoor unit
No external condenser, no pipework runs and no plastic trunking. The exterior of your home stays clean.
Smartphone control
Built-in Wi-Fi lets you control your system from the Panasonic app, whether at home or out.
Ultra-slim indoor unit

How the RAC Solo works
Instead of an outdoor condenser, each RAC Solo unit exchanges air with the outside through two circular openings in the external wall. On the 2.5 kW model, the openings are 162 mm. Each opening is fitted with a self-closing aluminium grille that opens only when the system is running and closes when it stops.
The unit is a self-contained, factory-sealed system. Because there are no refrigerant pipe connections to make between an indoor and outdoor unit, installation is cleaner and quicker, and it can be carried out entirely from inside the property.

What you see outside
No condenser. No wall-mounted box. Just two small circular grilles that sit flush against the wall and stay closed when the system is off. For flats, apartments, and period or conservation-area properties, that discretion can be the difference between having air conditioning and not.
Opening size varies by model. The largest capacity unit uses slightly larger 202 mm openings.
Where it works well
